Terms
Terms of service
Image to Excel is operated by the provider of image-to-excel.com ("we", "us"). By using Image to Excel, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The Service
Image to Excel is a tool that extracts structured tables from images, screenshots, and PDFs and turns them into reviewable spreadsheet data you can export as Excel (XLSX) or CSV files or send to Google Sheets. The main product flow lives in the Chrome extension, which lets you select a table area directly on a page, image, or browser-open PDF, upload files, review the extracted rows and columns, and export the result. The website also offers small preview tools (such as a table checker, image-to-text, and image-to-JSON) that return limited results so you can try the extraction quality. Some features are available without an account; others require you to sign in. The service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.
Accounts
You can try the extraction tools without an account. Some features require you to sign in. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity that happens under your account. Usage limits may be applied per device or per account to keep the service available for everyone.
Plans and Usage Limits
Image to Excel is currently offered without charge. Usage limits, trial allowances, and sign-in requirements may apply per device, browser profile, or account, and may change without advance notice to keep the service reliable and prevent abuse.
We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, these terms will be updated before purchases are offered, any purchase will be governed by the version of the terms in force at the time of that purchase, and your statutory consumer rights (including any withdrawal and refund rights) will not be affected. We may also change, add, limit, or discontinue features, in particular for legal, security, or technical reasons or as the product evolves.
Acceptable Use
- do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights
- only submit images, screenshots, or PDFs you have the right to process
- do not attempt to overload, disrupt, scrape at scale, or circumvent usage limits or security controls
- do not attempt to interfere with the website, extraction API, or account systems
- respect the rights of content owners and the terms of the platforms the content comes from
Third-Party Content and Services
Image to Excel relies on third-party providers to deliver the service:
- Google Gemini performs the AI extraction for all hosted processing — the website's preview tools and the extension's capture, upload, and batch flows alike.
- Google Sheets is used only when you explicitly choose Export to Google Sheets, through a separate Google sign-in and consent flow.
Your use of these underlying services is subject to their own terms. Image to Excel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or Microsoft, and you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the content you submit.
AI Output Disclaimer
AI-assisted extraction is probabilistic and can be inaccurate. Extracted tables may contain incorrect, missing, merged, or misread values. Review the extracted rows, columns, and exported files against the original image or PDF before using them in accounting, operations, compliance, or any other important, legal, medical, financial, or safety-related workflow.
Intellectual Property
Image to Excel does not claim ownership of the images or PDFs you submit or the tables extracted from them. Extracted results and exports are provided for your own use; you are responsible for how you use them and for any rights in the underlying content.
Availability & Warranty
We work to keep the service available, but as an online service it can be interrupted by maintenance, faults, outages of the third-party providers listed above, or events beyond our control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we do not promise that a usable table can be extracted from every image or PDF. The service is currently provided without charge and without any warranty beyond what mandatory law provides; if paid features are introduced, your statutory warranty rights for digital services will apply to them.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and under any guarantee we have expressly given.
In cases of simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely — and only up to the damage that is typical for this type of contract and foreseeable when the contract was made. Any further liability is excluded. This also applies in favour of our agents and subcontractors.
Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you seriously or repeatedly violate these terms (in particular the Acceptable Use rules) or where required for legal or security reasons; where reasonable, we will warn you first. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these terms when the product, our providers, or applicable law change. The version published on this page applies from the date shown above. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply to that use.
Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside.
We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).
