Workflow

Drag and drop or upload a PDF in the Image to Excel Chrome extension.

A preview with multiple PDF pages will be displayed. Select the pages you want to convert to Excel. Make sure those pages contain actual tables.

Press Extract and wait until the extracted tables are displayed in the review area.

Download the reviewed table as an Excel workbook or CSV for analysis, cleanup, or import into another system.

Use Select area when the table is already visible in the browser. The Image to Excel Chrome extension keeps the workflow in the tab where you found it.
Use clear scans with readable text and straight pages. If the scan is blurry, rescan or zoom before selecting the table area.
Extension shortcut
You usually do not need to convert a PDF into separate images first, or extract tables manually. Open the PDF in Chrome or upload it from the popup, then let Image to Excel handle extraction and review in one flow. If there is text or data available among the tables, Image to Excel will put recognized text into a separate table.

Yes, when the scan is clear enough for table extraction. Sharp text, straight page alignment, and visible borders improve the result.
Not usually. Use the Image to Excel Chrome extension with the PDF directly. Convert to JPG or PNG only when the PDF cannot be displayed or uploaded cleanly.
All recognized text will be saved in a separate table, so text or data found near the tables is not mixed into the main extracted table.
Yes. After reviewing the extracted table, export as XLSX or CSV.
